Living Isaiah 58 Will Continue

After reading Isaiah 58 again this morning, the Lord prompted me to write a new blog post.  Before we left Kenya to return home, He reassured me that the ministry of Living Isaiah 58 would continue--this would be the American Branch!  We have been back in the U.S. for a year and a half now, and I am asking Him to show me how we are to continue the ministry of Living Isaiah 58.  Sean has returned to Kenya 3 times in the past 18 months to build on the work there, but what work does the Father have for us here in America?  We have had orphan and foster care on our hearts for so many years.  We have made attempts to move forward in foster care--but the door keeps closing, so we are waiting on God for His timing in that.  We have been able to do orphan care in Kenya, not only with children but with orphaned adults--those with the "orphan spirit".  I can see that God has brought at least one soul into our lives here in Spokane to "parent".  But I feel the urgency for so much more.  My attention has also been drawn to the portions of Scripture that speak of delivering those who are oppressed.  There are so many groups of people in that category!  From unborn babes in the womb, to those in nursing homes and every stage in between.  I know that God has a plan for us, and He will unfold it in His timing.  Will you agree with me in prayer that He will give us ears to hear what His Spirit is saying to us here in Spokane? I know this is a prayer that He will answer, because He highlighted Isaiah 58 verse 11, where He says "I will guide you continually".

Isaiah 58:6-12 New Living Translation (NLT)

“No, this is the kind of fasting I want:
Free those who are wrongly imprisoned;
lighten the burden of those who work for you.
Let the oppressed go free,
and remove the chains that bind people.
Share your food with the hungry,
and give shelter to the homeless.
Give clothes to those who need them,
and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
“Then your salvation will come like the dawn,
and your wounds will quickly heal.
Your godliness will lead you forward,
and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.
Then when you call, the Lord will answer.
‘Yes, I am here,’ he will quickly reply.
“Remove the heavy yoke of oppression.
Stop pointing your finger and spreading vicious rumors!
10 Feed the hungry,
    and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.
11 The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
    and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
    like an ever-flowing spring.
12 Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities.
Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls
    and a restorer of homes.
